Do you remember the moment you decided that music was something that you were going to dedicate your blood and sweat to…the moment you accepted that this was not just a hobby?
I became pretty obsessed around age 18 and never stopped. It wasn’t really about a decision; I just kept doing it. No one ever asked me to make any decisions.
You dropped out of art school, what brought you there in the first place?
After high school I was waiting tables, fooling around with a 4-track and taking a couple classes at the local community college while living at my family's house. I chose that instead of going off to college like my older brother. After a while I realized he was being sent money, so I decided to attend school full-time.
