The process of creation is kind of like a machine, you have to take in and absorb all these different elements around you through your experiences, and then you are able to give voice to your own creative output. How do you ensure that you are continuously exposed to what is relevant?
I think anything that I am exposed to, and seek out, and get excited about is relevant. And what I mean by that is it’s relevant to me. And that is what makes it relevant in the larger sense - for any and all of us. I think if you are tuned in to yourself and returning to your Centre, what is “relevant” in the grander scheme of things is what is making me excited at the time, where my mind is at, what am I thinking about, what is making me sad, what is making me feel a strong sense of the need for justice or longing for something greater...we are all here for a unique purpose so it is our duty to find that path and journey along it, and that is when we find our relevance and along the way, maybe others will resonate with your “relevance” because you are speaking out and being vulnerable and brave.
