Fear not, this is not a socially awkward kid's online diary. (Some may feel that I am, in fact, socially awkward...but online diaries are so 2004.)
As a magazine editor and writer, I am very much into creating a platform for creatives who inspire me. As someone who, some time soon, will have to bid farewell to her thirties, I am often a witness to the face off between my actual age....and my imaginary age...the one I refused to say good-bye to about a decade ago. So the title, I used to be cool, is a humorous clin d'oeil to that irony of life, which I know many of my contemporaries can relate to-not to mention that as a parent, this feeling is often amplified in a number of situations that make raising a kid this crazy and wonderful adventure.
Here we will be celebrating all of that in conversation and through visual collaborations with some great photographers.
